Last Friday, Oct. 14, the Atlantic football team played their last home game of the 2016 season against Carroll. The Trojans fell to the Tigers 55-7.

On the first play of the game the Tigers scored on the Trojans, but missed the field goal, to only lead 6-0.

Not long after in the first, the Trojans scored, and came ahead of the Tigers 7-6.

By the end of the second quarter, the Tigers came back and scored five more times, leading the Trojans 41-7.

Early in the third quarter, the Tigers scored yet again, now leading 48-7.

Throughout the remainder of the third and fourth quarters, the Trojans were able to hold the Tigers to just one more touchdown, and by the end of the game, defeated the Trojans 55-7.

Head coach Mike McDermott said, “We started off with a quality drive on offense and scored, and even led the game briefly. Over the course of the contest Carroll wore us down. The season has gone by fast, we have improved in a number of areas, and need to continue this week as we finish our season. I’m excited to see how this team finishes on the road in a hostile environment. We will challenge them (Harlan). We are playing for a victory for our outgoing seniors.”

The Trojans next, and last, football game is this Friday, Oct. 21, against Harlan.
