The 1-4 Trojans host the 4-1 Rams this week at the Trojan Bowl. Last week Atlantic traveled to #3 Creston.

All week long the Trojan football team has been working in preparation for this weeks game at home versus Glenwood. Last week Atlantic traveled to Creston to take on the #3 Panthers but were made of short work as the Trojans were defeated 56-6.

The Glenwood Rams are 4-1 so far this season coming fresh off of a home victory against Denison-Schleswig last week, defeating the Monarchs 47-14. Atlantic on the other hand, is 1-4 thus far and is hungry for another win this season after slipping four straight games.

The Trojans celebrated a season opener win at home in Week 1 against Clarinda, Atlantic’s first home win in nearly two complete years. Since the win, senior Drake Roller returned to the starting lineup and has since ran for 96 on 47 carries.

Junior Noah Bruckner leads the team in rushing with 228 yards on 91 attempts averaging 2.5 yards per rush. Senior Garrett Franken leads the Trojans with receiving yards with 145 on only nine receptions meanwhile Sophomore Chase Mullenix leads the team with receptions with 11. Mullenix has 119 yards and a touchdown this season.

Defensively last week junior Dillon Sonntag intercepted a Creston pass and returned it 35 yards to the end zone to put Atlantic on the board in last weeks game. Currently Mullenix leads Atlantic with tackles on defense with 34 combined and 32 solo tackles. Senior Devin Siedlik and Brady Dickerson are second and third on the team with 23 and 20 tackles respectively. Senior Damon Miller has recovered two fumbles this season and leads the team in fumble recoveries.
