The boys’ cross country team held their annual time trials last night, Aug. 23. The time trials are used to evaluate and decide who is going to be running on the varsity team this year.

Senior Phoenix Shadden was in the lead of the pack, and finished with a time of 18:02. Shadden will be the top varsity runner for this upcoming season.

Freshman Bradley Dennis finished a close 2nd with a time of 18:04. Junior Cale Pellett, sophomore Jalen Petersen, junior Jene Zarbano, and freshmen Evan Brummer and Clayton Jipsen finish out the rest of the varsity boys cross country team.

The first boys’ cross country meet is scheduled for this Saturday, Aug. 27, at 9 a.m. in Glenwood.
