Senior Erin Olsen sinks a put in the 2016 season

The girls’ golf team finished their regular-season nine-hole matches on without a blemish on their record. Their last nine-hole match was on Thurs, Apr. 28 against the Red Oak Tigers, Lewis Central Titans and the Shenandoah The Trojans won with a score of 171.

 

Coach Kathy Hobson was very pleased with the dual season and thought that they had some low scores. Although they played very well, Hobson says they can’t be content, and their is always room for improvement.

 

Junior Brooke Newell said it was great that they could go undefeated and really meant a lot to her. Brooke had a great year in all her nine hole matches and expects to continue being successful throughout the rest of the season.  

 

Freshman Baylee Newell was excited with how her dual season went and thought it was a big achievement for her freshman year. Baylee has had a good season and wants to continue to improve as the season starts to wrap up.
