Shenandoah Mustangs Defeat Trojan Tennis

Sophomore Kalob Flory lost his match against the Mustangs. Flory plays the #3 spot on the varsity team.

On Monday, both girl’s and boy’s tennis teams played the Shenandoah Mustangs. Both teams were defeated by the Mustangs. The boys lost 4-5, and the girls lost 0-9.  

For the boys in singles, #1 sophomore Grant Podhajsky lost 10-2, #2 sophomore Cooper McDermott won 10-1, #3 sophomore Kalob Flory lost 8-10, #4 junior Caleb Williams won 10-7, #5 sophomore Luke Hohenberger won 10-8, and #6 senior William Weppler won 10-7.

In doubles, #1 Podhajsky and McDermott lost 2-10, #2 Flory and Williams lost 7-10, and #3 Hohenberger and Weppler lost 8-10.

On the girls side, #1 junior Jena Brosam lost 1-8, #2 junior Olivia Davis lost 0-8, #3 junior Kyja Arnold lost 0-8, #4 sophomore Heather Freund lost 0-8, #5 junior Carly Westphalen lost 1-8, and #6 junior Alexis Boes lost 0-8.

In doubles #1 Brosam and Davis lost 1-8, #2 H. Freund and Westphalen lost 1-8, and #3 A. Freund and Boes lost 1-8.

The Trojan boy’s next meet is today, May 5, against the St. Albert Falcons at home. The girl’s team has the next week off with their next meet the H-10 conference meet at home on Monday, May 16.
