Tonight, Dec. 15, the Atlantic boys’ varsity basketball team travels to Glenwood to play the Rams. Coming into the game, both teams have records of 4-0-0.

The Rams average 78 points per game compared to Atlantic who has averaged around 68. Atlantic has a 30.0 3-point field goal percentage, while Glenwood has made  36.5% of their 3-pointers attempted.

Leading scorers for Atlantic are Ryan Hawkins with 87 total points, and Garett Franken with 67 points. Glenwood’s top scorers are Andrew Blum with 83 points and Nate Mohr with 65 points.

Atlantic has played Winterset, St.Albert, Red Oak and Creston in their first four games. Glenwood’s competition has included Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson, Creston, Lewis Central and St. Albert.

Both teams have played Creston and St. Albert. In each case Glenwood won by a slightly larger margin. The evenly matched teams will face off tonight at 7:30 in the Rams gymnasium.
