The Scoop on AHS Polls
Anonymous Twitter account “looks like a way to harass people” says McKay

Recently, a new Twitter page has kept the attention of students at AHS. The account is called “AHS Polls” and posts anonymous polls submitted by the student body.
AHS Principal Heather McKay took a look at the account and said, “I don’t trust it. It looks like a way to harass people.” She also said our student body is “better than that.” The administration doesn’t have a lot of power when it comes to shutting down a bullying account about our school, she said.
If a major problem were to arise with an account, all they can do is contact Twitter. Then, the decision is ultimately up to Twitter whether the account is appropriate or not. McKay has concerns with accounts like this. She said, “I don’t understand why we constantly have to try to knock people down. When are people going to start picking each other up?”
