“There is no Twirp this year,” Alexander says. There has been a lot of talk about whether the Twirp dance was going to be held this year, but Mr. Alexander said he and Mrs. McKay have decided not to have the dance. After discussing it, Alexander said that attendance is the main reason for the decision. If there is not enough attendance it’s hard to fund the event. One thing Alexander was not sure about is whether we would still do some of the activities during the week such as Ironman Volleyball. Alexander said he would need to check with Mrs. McKay to be sure. Due to not having Twirp, Winter Formal has been pushed till after Christmas break this year. When asked why this change was made, Alexander said it would help spread the dances out.
