If you are aware that AHS choir students will be presenting the musical “Bye Bye Birdie” in less than a month, thank sophomore Chase Jones. Jones is the artist who, with help from teacher Derek Bair, made the posters that are hung up in school hallways and soon to be hung up in business windows around town.Teacher Derek Bair asked Jones to make the poster. With a basic idea of what Bair wanted, Jones followed through with the poster. The poster took him three days to make by working on it in his free time during school. When asked if he planned to do a career related to technology, Jones replied, “Yeah, I don’t know what though.”Another example of Jones’s work can be seen on Bair’s seminar poster in the 500 hallway.
Musical director Elizabeth Huggins commented on the poster saying, “I think Chase Jones did an incredible job making a poster that is aesthetically and pleasing and fun.”
