Sophomore Jacquie Freund is a JP student at Atlantic High School. This is Freund’s first year being involved in journalism but she has really enjoyed learning about writing, and “having freedom to write about things I am passionate about,”She said. Freund has written a few stories this year including a story about giving a waitress a donation through the FFA on their National Convention trip, (Atlantic FFA extends and olive branch.) She has also written a story about FBLA, a club offered at AHS that she is a member of herself. Freund said, ” I enjoyed writing these stories because they are both clubs that I am a member of and enjoy.” One thing that she looks forward to in journalism is “writing more stories”. 

Freund’s other hobbies and activities outside of FBLA, and FFA include archery, 4H, tennis, spending time with family and skiing. After High school she hopes to further her education in agriculture at a university.
