Elizabeth Anderson, Staff Writer

Staff Writer Elizabeth Anderson joined journalism because she has an interest in taking photos for the yearbook, looking into the backside of AHS Needle, and Eye of the Needle. Her favorite photo she’s taken has been a picture of Anna Weiser and Mallory Erickson laughing in Chemistry while dressed up for the dress days because it showed “a lot of emotion.”

“I’ve always liked taking pictures because I always saw some on the newspaper and tv and always thought they were cool,.'' she said.  Anderson's favorite part about high school is being able to see her friends every day and Homecoming week.

“I overall love the vibes of Homecoming week because everyone’s excited for the home game, everyone’s dressed up, and the pep rally just brings good vibes,” said Anderson. This year she said there were “lots more missed events than last year” but she overall enjoyed the week.

Anderson has been employed at the YMCA as a lifeguard since 2019. “It’s been a fun time. Honestly, the work environment there is so fun and it has my hobbies included in the job.”

Anderson had been involved in the band, premiere show choir, chamber choir, swim team, Villa Dance, and journalism. In Anderson's free time she drives around with friends, hangs with family, watches Netflix, sleeps, and more.

She is the daughter of Lori and Jason Anderson. One of the people that Anderson looks up to is her grandma because she’s a “great person” and “always tries to find the good in people no matter what.”

Anderson plans on attending college and works in the medical field.
