Sophomore Addi Schmitt has been involved in tennis since her freshman year, and is a staff writer for AHS Needle. In her free time, Schmitt enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies, and shopping. “I have an obsession when it comes to shopping,” Schmitt said. 

Schmitt has been employed as a nanny in the summer. When she’s not nannying, Schmitt loves to “catch some rays” during her break from school. “Summer is my favorite season because I love spending time at the lake,” Schmitt said. Her family owns a house in Shell Knob, Mo. Her family spends almost every weekend during the summer at the lake. 

She is the daughter of Carrie and Jared Schmitt. She has three siblings: Keston, Kole, and Macey. Schmitt is very close with her grandmother, Linda Sieck. Together, they get their nails done, go shopping, and play card games. “I truly don’t know what I’d do with my grandma,” Schmitt said.           

Schmitt plans to attend college and become an ophthalmic nurse or a dental assistant. “I would love to be an ophthalmic nurse because eyes interest me,” Schmitt said. Schmitt also thinks working with teeth would be fascinating because “no teeth are alike.”
