Trojans ends year in Carroll with most wins in seven seasons

Trojans fall short to the Knights.

Wednesday, Oct. 18, the girls’ volleyball team traveled to Carroll to take on the Carroll Kuemper Knights.

The Trojans took on the number 2 team in Class 2A. The girls fell short of the win, losing to the Knights with the scores of 10-25, 18-25, and 6-25.

Senior Cheyenne Elliott and Freshman Alyssa Derby led the team with 4 kills apiece. Senior Sidney Svoboda totaled 12 assists on the night.

Sophomore McKenzie Waters said “It went very well, we all played well. And we played as a team. It was very emotional because it was my last time playing with the senior class.” Waters also said “It very hard seeing our season come to an end after all the work we put in.”

The Trojans ended the season 16-22, making huge improvements from last year.
