AHS Fuel is breaking the ice with some halftime games. According to Fuel adviser Dan Vargason, halftime games will start next week.

AHS Fuel is planning a game that offers the contestants a chance to win a $500 prize.  To win the $500, a person must make a layup, a free throw, a 3-point shot and a half-court shot in 30 seconds. You must buy a $1 ticket to enter.

Vargason also said, “It is not a fund raiser.”  If the person wins the money, it will be all their’s.

Vargason said that other schools have offered similar challenges.  He said he watched a student win $500 at Thomas Jefferson High School last week.

Vargason said that athletic director Matt Alexander is trying to secure a sponsor for the prize money.

Some other things that AHS students need to keep an eye on are the posters around the school. These will describe when, where, and what the themes the games are.
