Atlantic super-fan Richie Andersen won $110.25 in cash at Friday night’s basketball game at AHS.
During Friday’s boys basketball game the National Honor Society conducted a 50-50 raffle. Tickets were on sale for one dollar per ticket. Each ticket gave fans a chance at winning 50 percent of the money raised. The other 50 percent of the money from the raffle went to the NHS Adopt-a-Family fund. The winning ticket number was announced at halftime during the varsity game.
According to senior Kristen Schuler, the NHS sold 220 tickets for a grand total of 220 dollars. Someone additionally donated fifty cents, which put the total to be divided at $220.50.
Senior NHS member Philip Iekel commented on the raffle, “It was a grand success.”
The raffle was just one of many events that the National Honor Society organizes throughout the year.
