Sometimes Quiet is Good

Have you ever been sitting in a class and all you can hear are whispers? One of my biggest pet peeves is when students are being disrespectful while a teacher is trying to give directions or during lectures. “Silence can offer a deeper and greater learning,” said Edutopia. When classrooms have a quiet environment it helps students better understand topics they might be having trouble understanding. Edutopia used an example about history class. If students are learning about historical events they need time to reflect and apply them to the future, not have other classmates fill the sound of silence.
