Let Kids be Kids

Jobs are commonly an essential part of life. It’s a source of money for necessities. The expectation to have one at a young age is suffocating. People assume we should get a job to take up time. We’re still young, we should be allowed to live. For some, getting a job at the youngest age possible is the only way to support themselves or their families. Getting a job at a young age takes away time to enjoy childhood and takes away time to get schoolwork done. That is why I hate the expectation to have a job while young.
