Too Many Islands in the School Parking Lot

Why are there so many islands in our school parking lot? With new drivers at the school, these random extra curbs get difficult to avoid. Leaving the school can be a stressful time for some drivers with vehicles trying to exit the parking lot. You already have to avoid reckless drivers, pedestrians, and now the islands. If you do end up hitting one of the islands, your wheels and tires will most likely be damaged. Curbs can also cause you to lose control over the wheel while being thrown around. Overall, these islands are extra hazards that are not needed.
