Is Our State Curriculum Right?
AHS offers a lot of classes to their students, but these classes aren’t teaching what we really need. I’m someone who has two older siblings. They graduated high school without learning very important life skills like how to do taxes. I think there are a lot of more important things to do in life than geometric proofs, and Pythagorean theorem. Yes, some job professions may require those skills but you shouldn’t have to be required to learn them if you aren’t going to use them after High School. Students aren’t prepared for the real world and that needs to change.
