Evan Adamon
“I enjoy building relationships with kids and enjoy seeing them progress through high school,” Evan Adamon, the new vocal teacher, said. “My main focus is to build a sense of community within the group and to get everyone on the same page. Working hard, striving for excellence, and having fun.”
Adamon has been teaching for four years in the Underwood schools, grades 6-12. Adamon’s main goal is to “build the choir program to where it was.” He wants the choir to be the best at what they do. “Choir is a rich tradition at AHS.”
He attended high school in Glenwood, and attended Luther College, then transferred to UNI. Adamon always looked up to his high school vocal teacher. He fell in love with singing and the entire aspect of choir. He loved how she pushed him and how close they are now.
He lives in Council Bluffs so he makes the hour drive every day. When he’s not teaching, he’s spending time with his dog, Sweetie, his cat, Izzy, and husband, Steven. “I can tell it’s going to be a good fit,” Adamon said about Atlantic. “Everyone is very nice and super welcoming.”
