Day Five: I’m Dreaming of a “White Christmas”

“White Christmas” is a CLASSIC Christmas musical starring Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby. I’m sure you know the Christmas song “White Christmas.” That song is from this movie. It’s about two WWII veterans who started a music tour after the war. These two vets end up following sisters, who also happen to be a singing duo, to Vermont. In Vermont, they meet up with their general from their Army days.

I really don’t think there are many Christmas movies that do not have some sort of romantic aspect in them. Even “The Nightmare Before Christmas” does. I’m pretty sure the only reason I like this movie is because of how old this movie is. The plot is just kind of wacky, if I’m being totally honest. Wallace (Crosby) and Davis (Kaye) follow two girls to Vermont for pretty much no reason at all, and then they end up falling in love, I guess? I do think what Wallace and Davis did for General Waverly was pretty cool, even if one of the people who worked for him blew it way out of proportion even though she had no idea what was actually going on.

This movie is available on Netflix.
