Basketball Shorts

This 2018-19 basketball season, the IHSAA and IGHSAU decided basketball players cannot roll their shorts. Some girls, like myself–I’m 5′ 6″–got stuck with large shorts that go down all the way to my knees. The referees should not be focused on telling the captains “make sure your girls’ shorts are not rolled, or they will be sitting on the bench.” After complaints, the rule was changed to rolling your shorts on the inside. If you have ever seen shorts rolled on the inside, they parachute out and are uncomfortable to play basketball in. I believe this should not be a rule.
