Shayla Luke
Shayla Luke’s involvement in journalism has further sparked her interest in becoming a writer. Luke’s favorite part of journalism is “just being able to work with others” and writing stories with “little info and being able to build off what you are given.” Luke, the youngest of six siblings, admires her mother, who raised her as a single parent. In her free time, Luke enjoys watching Youtube, walking, exercising, and swimming in the summer with her friends. Although Luke prefers movies over books she doesn’t “really have a favorite comedy." Luke can be described as helpful, artistic, and loyal according to her best friend, Bella Peterson, who she spends a lot of time with. Luke would like to “get a 4.0 at the end of school and get into a good college” and “have a glow up.” Being an animal lover, Luke owns one cat, that “is the worst” and takes great interest in red pandas, her favorite type of animal. Luke would like to become a writer when she grows up because she has always been interested in that type of field.
