Kathryn Saluk
When Katie Saluk isn’t “hangin’ with the bros,” she can be found participating in multiple activities at AHS. Saluk is a member of the anchor team for Eye of the Needle, where she reports fine arts. Her favorite part of journalism is spending time with her friends while still getting work done. Saluk said that being on camera used to be nerve-racking, but over time the feeling has gone away. In her free time, she enjoys being on her phone, watching Netflix and traveling. Each journalist has a decorated ceiling tile, and Saluk said, “My ceiling tile represents my desire to travel the world. I want to see everything and I hope all my hard work will pay off so I eventually will get to experience the world.” Saluk also participates in Student Council, AHS Fuel, cross country, soccer, choir, show choir and choir council. She is a basketball manager as well. In one word, Saluk would describe herself as bubbly.
