Grace Barkley
If there was one thing sophomore Grace Barkley could be buried with to use it later on in the afterlife, she would choose her phone. That way she could see what’s all going on in “earth life.” Barkley is currently in her second semester of journalism and said she would like to focus on production as the semester moves forward. She finds journalism interesting due to the writing along with the publishing side of the class. She finds it nerve-wracking to interview people and to stand on the sidelines while taking photos. Barkley said that she would like venture more into getting “better at taking pictures, writing stories fast, and knowing what words to use.” When not in the JLab, dancing or spending time with her animals, you can catch Barkley watching Netflix. Barkley’s best friend Jenna Pelzer said, “Grace is very fun and kind, many people think that she doesn’t really talk much and is quiet but that is not the case sis.” Barkley is very outgoing and likes to experience and try new things such as Sudoku. She also recommends that if you’re ever looking for a new snack, hot sauce and goldfish always do the trick.
