The (2-1) Atlantic Trojans will face off against the (3-0) Lewis Central Titans Friday in Council Bluffs. The Trojans’ season was off to a strong start with wins against Clarinda and Carroll.
Last week’s loss to Creston saw Trojans come up short on rushing and long on turnovers. While the Trojans held even (6-6) going into the second half, a Creston-dominated third quarter put the men from Troy on their heels. A strong fourth quarter put Atlantic back in the game before the clock ran out with a 19-31 Trojan loss for the books.
The Titans are coming off a 28-7 win at Indianola last week. Friday night’s game will be LC’s Homecoming game.
