As winter approaches, the Student Council has changes on their agenda. The Council has new dress-day ideas, half-time basketball activities and more  ways to improve school spirit.

In the week leading up to a dance, the Student Council plans dress days to get students involved and excited for the night of fun and socialization.   Not only does the council hope that dress days pump up the spirit, but basketball activities are also hoped to be a big success.

Last year, the Council started the “coach potato” fundraiser where students  pay for raffle tickets and hope their number is called.  If they win, they get to sit on a couch in the front row and watch the game, along with complimentary candy donated by the Booster Club. This year the Council hopes to start a “money dive” competition where people will pay for a raffle ticket and if their number is drawn, they get 30 seconds to collect as many one-dollar bills as they can off the gym floor.

The Student Council meets on Tuesdays at 7:30am in the Media Center to discuss upcoming events and ideas.
