In a preview of the first round of regional action, the Glenwood Lady Rams defeated the Atlantic Trojanns 72-32.

The Trojanns were led by junior Shelby Worth, who finished the night with 12 points off four three-point field goals.

Atlantic started slow, scoring only three points in the first quarter off a trey by Worth.

Morgan Lucy scored 11 of Glenwood’s 15 points in the first quarter.

Lucy ended the first half with 21, and the game with 32 points.

The Trojanns went on an 8-2 run in the middle of the second quarter to pull within 11, but the Lady Rams finished the first half on a 9-0 run to take a 33-13 lead into halftime.

Glenwood led 59-21 after outscoring the Trojanns 26-8 in the third quarter.

Glenwood and Atlantic will match up for a third time this season on Wednesday, Feb. 15 in Glenwood for the first round of the 2012 Class 3A Region 8 regional.
