The Trojans scored only four points from one field goal and three free throws in the first quarter, but found their stroke in the second half. Atlantic defeated the Creston Panthers 55-52.
Atlantic trailed by four going into the final quarter. Atlantic tied the game at 47 after a dunk by junior Dalton Franken.
Franken ended the night with 17 points.
Junior Sam Markham’s lay-up with 3:08 remaining in the game put the Trojans up for good.
Senior Gunnar Blum’s three-point field goal proved to be the final bucket of the game for the Trojans.
Atlantic scored 20 points in the final quarter of Tuesday’s game.
The Panthers made it interesting and had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but the shot fell short.
The Trojans are now 9-2 on the season.
Atlantic host Red Oak on Friday night.
