The 2011 Atlantic Trojann volleyball season was ended Monday night, after the Glenwood Rams swept the Trojanns 7-25, 14-25, and 21-25.
The black and gold ended the season with a 6-23 record.
In game one, the Trojanns spotted the Rams 11 points before scoring their first point of the night. The Trojanns never got closer than 11 during game one.
Atlantic jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in game 2, but never led again. The Rams pulled ahead 19-4 and lead by 16 (23-7), before the Trojanns closed out the game on a 7-2 run.
Game three proved to be the closest game, as the Trojanns got within two points twice, but were unable to gain advantage.
“I thought early on in the first couple of games, because we had a new lineup, everybody was doing each others jobs’. We weren’t trusting each other. (In) game three I thought they settled in a little bit and trusted each other doing their own responsibilities,” coach Chris Jahnke said.
