The AHS Trojan Guard will be competing at the IHMSA State Marching competition at the Glenwood High School. The band is expected to obtain a 1 for the seventh year in a row as long as they concentrate on their show.
Their last performance will be on October 21st, where they will be joined by the middle school band to play a song together. October 21st is also Senior Night for both Band and Cross Country.
The results of their first competition, the Clarinda Band Jamboree, the band placed third in both field marching and parade marching. At their second competition, the Trojan Guard placed twelfth during the day show and ninth during Showdown, obtaining more points during Showdown than during the day show.
