The National Honor Society at is holding a food drive at AHS the week of April 11-15.
Food will be collected during third period throughout the week.
As an incentive to donate food, prizes will be awarded to the top three classes who collect the most food (most points). First prize will consist of a pizza party and movie passes. Second place will be ice cream, and third place will receive cupcakes.
According to Mrs. Cooper, a worker at the Food Pantry, non-perishable meat (SPAM) and peanut butter are of greatest need.
Non-perishable meat (SPAM), peanut butter, paper towels, and dishwashing soap will be worth two points; all other food items will be worth one point, with the exception of Ramen Noodles. Ramen Noodles will be worth half of a point.
All food donated will be given to the Cass County Food Pantry for the Easter holiday.
A video made by NHS members will be shown to promote the food drive.
