The Atlantic-CAM wrestlers’ hard work and commitment is paying off. After weeks of early morning and after school practices, the Trojans were able to add two more dual victories to the list on Thursday, Dec. 19 in Carroll.

The Trojans defeated the Kuemper Knights with a score of 59-13, and 40-27 against the Lewis Central Titans. Senior Cale Roller was recognized on Thursday night for getting his 100th career win at last weekend’s meet.

Several wrestlers contributed largely to the team score during the Carroll Kuemper dual. The following earned pins; Easton O’Brien (106), Ethan Follman (120), Joe Weaver (126), Brian South (145), Jarrett Armstrong (152), Payton Fewson (182), Cole Park (195), and Cale Roller (285). Sophomore Kadin Stutzman rebounded from an earlier loss with a tech fall. Two-time winners on the night were Roller, Weaver, and Armstrong.

The varsity wrestlers will travel to Southeast Polk on Saturday, Dec. 21 for the Red Owens Holiday Classic. They will also compete the following Saturday at the Eddyville-Blakesburg Invitational.
