Day Seven: “Klaus” Not Clause

The new release “Klaus” is a Netflix original starring the voices of “Parks and Rec” actress Rashida Jones, and the legend Joan Cusack. This is the story of a postal worker who completely changes a town for the better and creates Christmas as we know it.

In the beginning, the town of Smeerenburg was pretty much at war with itself. There were two different clans who fought all the time. They ended up finding a common enemy in someone else who was trying to create peace. Then, a ton of things happen and Christmas is created.

I think this movie has a kind of underlying meaning to it: even if you do the right thing for the wrong reasons, it’s still doing the right thing, and even if you do the wrong thing for the right reasons, it’s still doing the wrong thing. This movie was pretty entertaining as well. From the hipster-like Jesper, to the hard-working Klaus, there was a wide variety of characters to give the movie a bit of contrast. There was also a teacher who turned the school into a fish market, and back into a school.

Being a Netflix original film, this movie is only available on Netflix.
