4. “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” by Green Day

“Boulevard of Broken Dreams” was released in 2004 on the album “American Idiot.” The entire album is the story of “Jesus of Suburbia” and this song in particular is about Jesus struggling with depression. It was one of their most popular songs.

I chose this song because I can remember listening to it on the radio, along with “American Idiot” and it was a blast. Radio in the early 2000s was dope, man. It was awesome.
