The Atlantic High School is in the process of allowing students to choose classes for next year.

Registration for classes next year is now available for students of Atlantic High School. Like every year there are a few changes in terms of credits and requirements for graduation.

In order to satisfy the requirements for graduation from Atlantic High School students must have the following amount of credits:

The class of 2012 will need 46 credits,
2013 needs 48, 2014 needs 50, and 2015 requires 52 credits.

Students must also complete the following classes:

Eight semesters of English.

Two semesters of American History.

One semester of American Government.

Three semesters of social studies electives; one class must be global.

Six semesters of mathematics.

Six semesters of natural science or four semesters of natural science, Health 1, Health 2.

Eight semesters of physical education (now called Lifetime Fitness).

Another piece of information regarding registration is that next year Atlantic High School will have an eight-period day with every student required to take Lifetime Fitness (previously known as physical education or P.E.) Weight training will not count as a Lifetime Fitness credit.

Students have been given a registration sheet of classes that must be filled out. The registration sheet is also be posted online.
