The PSAT/NMSQT exam will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the multipurpose room from 8-11 a.m. The top 10 percent of the sophomore class and the top 15 percent of the junior class was invited to take this test. After everyone invited has had a chance to sign up, the registration will be opened to the rest of the junior class. There is a limited supply of tests, so anyone interested should sign up as soon as possible. The fee to take the PSAT/NMSQT exam is $16.

Juniors taking the exam also have a chance to become National Merit Scholarship Finalists. According to guidance counselor Craig Fredin, there has never been a National Merit Finalist from Atlantic High School. Fredin encourages everyone able to take the test, and said, “It’s good practice for the ACT/SAT exams.”
