FFA Sub Districts Results

After school on Wednesday, Feb. 22 twenty-two FFA members loaded up a bus and headed off to Exira-EHK for sub-district contests while two other members stayed back in Atlantic for the welding contests.

Cale Pellet placed first in public speaking, earning a gold rating which earned him a spot at districts.

Cody McCreedy placed first in Ag broadcasting earning a gold rating and will be moving on to districts.

Tyler Petty placed first in Arc-Mig welding.

Emily Saeugling placed second in job interview earning a gold rating and moving on to districts. She will also be competing for the district office of secretary.

Taylor Kirchner placed second in Oxy-Acetylene Welding

The Chapter program team consisting of Alexis Boes, Heather Freund, and Carly Westphalen, placed third earning a gold rating and will be moving to districts.

The conduct team consisting of Katie York, President, Zade Niklasen, Vice President, Tate Den Beste, Secretary, Nathan Behrends, Advisor, Taylor Hansen, Reporter, Craig Alan Becker, treasure, Adriana Mendez, Sentinel, placed third at sub-districts earning a silver rating and will be moving on to districts.

.Tyler Comes placed third in Ag sales earning a silver rating and will be moving on to districts.

Corri Pelzer placed fifth in Creed speaking earning a silver rating and is the alternate to districts.

Lexi Freund, Tyler Comes, Kyle Redinbaugh, Josh Rossell, Braden Bean, Nate Moen, and Morgan Barkley took the Farm business Management Test. Atlantic earned 7 of the top 8 spots with Bean taking first and Freund taking second.

Tate Den Beste, Corri Pelzer, and Adriana Mendez took the Greenhand test. Den Beste earned a gold rating. Pelzer and Mendez both earned silver ratings.
Districts will be held on Saturday, March 4, in Red Oak.
