Atlantic High School’s library has received a donation of $200 from the Atlantic Rotary Club.
The Rotary Club contacted high school teacher/librarian Ginger Bechtold earlier this year to donate $200 to every library in the district as a way to thank the people who speak at their meetings. Bechtold accepted the check on behalf of the district.
Bechtold used the donation toward the purchase of the 2011-12 Iowa Teen Award Books and Iowa High School Book Award winners for 2011012. Every book bought with these funds will feature a plate stating the Atlantic Rotary Club donated them.
