Have you ever wondered what lies in that mysterious green recycle bin behind the attendance desk? The Atlantic High School recycling bin is usually stacked with items, but after a recent clean out, the bin was looking rather bare.

The items inside included two sweatshirts. One of the sweatshirts is red and has an Iowa State logo on it. The other is black and tie-died and had a minion logo from “Despicable Me.”

The two other items in the bin were a blue Android charger cable and an Iowa State water bottle.

Attendance secretary Danna Saeugling said she is surprised when students leave keys in the lost-and-found for days or even weeks.  Two moped keys were in the bin when we checked. One key is still unclaimed. However the other key was identified as Logan Templeton’s by its Georgia Bulldogs tag.

Saeugling said the amount of items in the bin “depends on when teachers clean out rooms.” If you know the owner of one of these items please notify them. They can be claimed in the office.
