Tuesday, Sept. 8, the Trojan Cross Country runners competed against nine other teams in Clarinda, Iowa. Both the girls and the boys teams placed second out of nine teams. Ryan Hawkins placed 3rd out of the varsity boys and led the way two-thirds of race. Following Hawkins was Cale Pellet who placed 20th, Kalob Flory placing 21st, Kolton Carey who got 22nd, and Jalen Peterson who placed 25th. Along with the varsity boys and girls, the JV girls earned a second place team finish and the JV boys got first.

For the girls, Tiffany Williams led the Trojans placing 2nd in the race, and ran a time of 21:04. Behind Tiffany was Emily Saugeling 9th, Ashley Wendt 10th, Karsyn Rush 11th, Alexis Brockman 12th, and Halsey Bailey placing 28th for the Trojans.

The Trojans next meet will be held in Red Oak on Monday, Sept. 14.
