Seventh Place Finish at Lady Cardinal Relays

After coming back from an injury, junior Tiffany Williams finished second in the 3000 meter run. She was told to take it easy so she does not become reinjured.

Last evening the girls track team traveled to Clarinda for the Lady Cardinal Relays. The team finished seventh and had many events medal. Junior Tiffany Williams had the best finish of the night winning the 3000 meter run with a time of 11:21. Williams also placed second in the 800 meter run with a close finish with Red Oak’s Kate Walker.

Junior Darien Mills and freshman Sidney Svoboda finished fifth and sixth in the discus. Svoboda and Mills also placed sixth and seventh in the shot put. The 4×100 meter relay also placed sixth as well as the 4×800 meter relay. Also, the distance medley relay finished in fourth place.

The girls travel to Denison on Friday. The meet will begin at 4:30 p.m.
