The Trojans took on the Glenwood Rams following an exciting game which ended in a win for the Harlan Cyclones against the Creston Panthers. The Trojans started off in the lead, but at the end of the first quarter were down 6, 13-19. The Rams kept hitting 3’s, but the Trojans were resilient and were only down 7 at the end of the first half, 26-33.

The Trojans came out the locker room ready to go and fought back, finishing the 3rd quarter only down 1, 44-45. They played hard and there was no shortage of scoring in the 4th quarter with both teams scoring 25 points. Sadly though, the Trojans fell short, and lost by 1 to the Rams, 69-70, ending the Trojans season way shorter than anyone wanted.

“The end of the season came sooner than any of us wanted it to and we should still be playing,” said senior point guard Joey Walker. “Unreal,” said sophomore forward Garrett Franken.

Walker hit 7 buckets, ending with 19 points and dropped 4 dimes in the game against the Rams, and junior forward Ryan Hawkins had 33 points.

The season is over for the Trojans, but you can be sure that the Trojans will have no off time and will be working hard in the off season.

Glenwood proceeded to play Harlan in the second round of districts, and won in overtime.  They will now play against the Denison Monarchs at substate to see who will advance to state.
