As cold winter days approach, so do the holidays and the Winter Formal dance.  Every year in December the school holds the annual formal dress dance.  This year it is on Dec. 6 in the Atlantic High School commons.

What is difference about the Winter Formal dance compared to other dances?  It is the only dance with a more strict dress code. Boys are required to wear dress pants and a dress shirt, while girls are required to wear dresses.

This year’s dance theme will be “The North Pole.”  Tickets will be $3 for 1 person and $5 for a couple.  Every year this dance is held by the FFA and Student Council combined.  FFA gets to decide the winter ball queen through a voting process within the FFA. Last year’s winner was senior Savannah Sorensen.
