On Thursday, Oct. 9, the Treble Singers, Concert, and Chamber choirs kicked off their 2014 fall season.

The Chamber choir performed three arrangements, which included “The Heavens are Telling,” “Battle Hymn Republic,” and “I Carry Your Heart.” The Concert choir performed two melodies, including “River in Judea” and “Barter.” The Treble singers performed “When I am Silent” and “Tell My Ma.”

Senior Halee Glenn said, “We’ve slowly been improving every year, but the amount that we’ve improved from last year to this year is incredible!” Choir teacher Jennifer Gaesser said, “I will always push them to do better!”

Glenn said that they’ve been working on things now that last year they would have been working on a month from now. “I would say we’re a few weeks ahead of schedule.” Glenn’s favorite arrangement was “I Carry Your Heart” because “it’s a beautiful song and it has a great meaning.”

Seventeen Allstaters also performed at the concert. The Allstaters performed “Way Over In Beulah Lan’”. The Allstaters have been divided up into six groups for their upcoming auditions on Oct. 24 in Harlan.
