Atlantic Trojans placed second in the Humboldt tournament Saturday, Dec. 2. Wrestling powerhouse Southeast Polk beat the Trojans by 19 and a half points. Junior Derek Stork, senior Andrew Poore, junior Austin Conrad, junior Rob Young, and senior Brad Schwenke all stood at the top of the podium. Schwenke won the tournament for his fourth consecutive year.
Junior Tyler Doll took second place after getting pinned by the fifth-ranked wrestler from Southeast Polk in the 189 category. Other wrestlers placing second were Dylan Christensen at 215 and Josh Perkins at 135.
