Monday night, April 28, the Atlantic Trojans boys golf team hosted the Harlan Cyclones. The Trojans won by seven strokes with a final score of Atlantic 151, Harlan 158. The meet was originally planned to be at the Harlan Country Club but because of some heavy rains in the early afternoon and the possibility of storms later, they moved the meet to 3:30 pm at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club.
Evan Schuler of Atlantic was the runner-up to Ross Martens from Harlan, Schuler lost in a sudden-death playoff. Schuler’s score was the lowest for the Trojans with a 36, Kyle Nelson and Jake Olsen both shot 37. Cooper Zablocki shot a 41, Zac Stork finished with a 42 and Sam Renaud shot a 44. The boys JV team lost but they shot their best round of the year. Matt Tolton, Jackson Wickman and Zach Nelson all shot a 49s. JV finished with a final score of 199.
The boys have a triangular tournament Thursday against Red Oak and Shenandoah, it will be the last JV meet of the year.
