The Omaha World Herald wrote a feature story about Atlantic High School’s own Evan Schuler and his tremendous start to the 2014 Trojan Golf season. Schuler started out under par in his first six golf meets and the last two meets he has been a combine three over par. One-over par at Denison, which was a very windy day and one over being a great score. It also earned Schuler medalist honors. The second time he was over par for the season was on a damp, windy day where he shot a 36, two-over par which tied him for medalist honors, he ended up runner-up after two play-off holes. The story written in the World Herald talks about all Schuler has accomplished in such a short amount of time and how the passing of his father have impacted his life. He has shown that mind over matter can conquer anything, on and off the golf course.
