Yesterday many AHS students received a text from tennis coach Shawn Petersen saying that he was being terminated from his coaching position and no longer will be coach. Petersen said, “I’m extremely disappointed and will miss coaching our girls and boys very much. Other then that I have no further comment.”
Administrator Matt Alexander said, “I can not comment on as to why coach Peterson is having to step down.” Alexander also said, ” I can not comment on who will be replacing coach Petersen until Monday after the board meeting”
Junior Reid Nichols said, “I was disappointed when I found out. He was a really good coach.”
