Around Atlantic rumors have been spread about whether we are having an after prom or not. According to the schedule released by senior prom heads, we are still having after prom, it has just been shortened to an hour and will be taking place at the YMCA.
The parents committee took a survey after prom last year, and the results came out negative. Kids no longer wanted dance cards, they needed to eat earlier, and they wanted to see after prom back at the YMCA. But then after the rumor of the committee taking away after prom, many kids made a fuss about it.
The approved schedule is as follows. Pre-prom will begin at 7 p.m. till 8:15. The Grand March and dance will take place at the high school from 8:30 to 11:45. Then the change of clothes will take place 11:45 to 12:15. After prom is held at the YMCA for an hour, 12:15 to 1:15. The hypnotist “Rusty Z” and Pancake Man will follow at 1:30 till the end where the juniors will clean up.
Juniors have decided the theme will be America.
Junior Kyle Kruger said the theme is okay and that after prom is, “Good I guess, it’s not a waste.” Also junior Skyler Svoboda said reguarding the theme, “I don’t care for it, it’ll be hard to work it out.” And on after prom he also said,”I’m too big for the bounce houses, but we should get the stuff from the National Guard. Joey Nielson said, “I’m glad they’re having after prom again.”
